OSIS Symbiotic Apparel Identity Package
Osis Symbiotic Apparel is a brand treatment based on the latest research being done at the MIT Design Lab. The concept includes designated cavities and channels woven into the apparel to allow for the interaction of micro-organisms to generate desired byproducts such as pigment, heat, water, cooling, and even illumination and electricity. This concept is to encourage sustainable and harmonic usage of renewable resources and performance enhancing clothing. The brand treatment and logo are to entice an active, modern, and unisex audience and to communicate the symbiotic relationship between the organisms inside the clothing, and the organism wearing the clothing. The colors and flow of the brand elements are to show fluidity, dynamism, and yet a sense of organization and harassment of these elements through geometric layouts. The brand identity was also intended to communicate some edginess similar to the culture of graffiti art as can be seen in the shape and treatment of the logo itself.
